Elmer has served on the ICMDA board of directors since July 2000.
Elmer is retired from his general practice in family dentistry. He practiced in Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada for 47 years.
He is married to Shirley and has 6 children and 19 grandchildren.
He has served in the church as a lead elder and also served in the community as a publicly elected school trustee. He is currently the chairperson for the Camp Likely leadership team. He is also involved in Restorative Justice and a community men’s choir and enjoys cycling. He first became involved with CMDS Canada as a dental student. He is currently on the national board of directors for the Christian Medical Dental Society of Canada.
