Jan Grzeszkowiak, MD, PhD, CertLRS RCOphth

graduated from the University of Medical Sciences in Poznan (Poland) and was trained in ophthalmic surgery at the University of Freiburg (Germany) and at the University of Helsinki (Finland).

For many years Dr Grzeszkowiak was a Medical Manager to one of the leading eye clinics in Poland where he is still practicing. He is also a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon to one of the leading laser eye clinics in the United Kingdom. He is an experienced specialist in  laser refractive and cataract surgery.

Dr. Grzeszkowiak is a member of many international professional organisations including the United Kingdom & Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (UKISCRS), the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) and the Christian Ophthalmology Society (COS).

His teaching responsibilities encompass training ophthalmologists in cataract and refractive surgery, along with leading training seminars and courses. Many of his articles have appeared in scientific journals.

Dr Grzeszkowiak is a respected speaker at medical and Christian conferences and co-author of books. His passion is to encourage believers to pursue deeper personal relationship with God and see the realities of His Kingdom manifest in their everyday lives.

For more than 15 years Dr Grzeszkowiak is involved in Christian medical missionary work in Africa, where he performs sight saving and sight restoring surgeries to the community. He has successfully introduced modern surgical techniques and trains local ophthalmologists.  Sharing the life-changing gospel with the staff and patients remains vital part of his missionary work.

Dr Grzeszkowiak has been actively involved in the work of the Christian Medical Fellowship of Poland since 1991 serving as the President and Vice-president of the organisation from 1993 till 2015.

He has been a member of the Executive Committee of ICMDA from 1994 till 2006 and a member of the Eurasia Committee from 2006 till 2010.
