ICMDA's METNA region covers the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa. There are 22 countries here, but only two have a fellowship affiliated with ICMDA - Egypt (CMF) and Sudan (SCMF).

Ministry in the METNA region can be very challenging with Christians often facing severe persecution. Sadly, 20 countries in the region feature in Open Doors World Watch List of places where Christians face the most extreme persecution. However, in spite of opposition, the church is growing here and the gospel is bearing fruit.

There are 395 medical schools in METNA serving 620 million people, with Arabic being the dominant language. Egypt has the largest population and is home to more than half of all Christians in the area.
