The International Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Management (HCM) is a dynamic program designed to address the global demand for skilled healthcare managers, particularly in resource-limited and rural settings.

Offered by CMC Vellore in collaboration with the University of Loma Linda (UoLL) and the International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA), this program equips healthcare professionals with essential management skills to strengthen healthcare systems and deliver sustainable healthcare.

2. Through this learning process, learners will undergo personal transformation, enabling them to facilitate transformation in their institutions, programs, and spheres of influence.

1. A two-year blended learning course including distance learning and hands-on training at one of our dedicated contact centres.
2. Training through contact classes, directed reading, e-learning methods, video-lectures and tutorials in modular form.
3. The course will be of two years duration. The maximum allowable period for the student to complete the course requirements will be four years.

Hospital Operations Management:

• Leadership,
• Financial management,

  and many more.

Program Management:

• Community health,
• Disaster preparedness,
• Service development for marginalized populations.

Capstone Project: An opportunity to apply learned concepts in a practical setting, often at a mission or rural hospital.

Entrance Requirements

• The I-PGD HCM is open to all professionals working in a healthcare system, with a focus on those serving in low and middle-income countries.
• Candidates must meet one of the following requirements
  • Hold a recognized degree in healthcare field,
  • Or a recognized degree in  management and have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a healthcare context.
• Candidates must have regular access to the internet with sufficient bandwidth to download course materials and submit assignments.
• All course materials, lectures, and contact sessions will be conducted in English. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Academic Requirements

• Mandatory attendance at monthly virtual contact classes.
• Completion of all end of module assignments.
• Participation in online discussion forums.

If a candidate does not remain engaged in the course access to modules will be removed.

Financial Requirements

• Course modules will be accessible either on receipt of full payment of year one course fees or, if agreed, after payment of the first of the agreed payment arrangement.
• A limited number of means-tested scholarships are available to candidates in financial need. Scholarship decisions are based on criteria set by the scholarship committee. The decision will be final and must include the agreement of a payment plan for the remaining fees.
• If a candidate does not fulfil the Academic Requirements above their scholarship award will be rescinded or reduced in subsequent years.

2. Passport size photo (format: jpg, jpeg or png, 3.5 x 4.5 cm and less than 250KB)
3. Copy of passport - first and last pages (format: PDF only).
4. Bank account or credit card to pay the application fee.
