#210 Limits to compassion 🗓
With Jelena Sivulka
Compassion is the emotional response to another's suffering and the desire to help. Limits to compassion arise when constant exposure to suffering leads to compassion fatigue, causing emotional and physical exhaustion.
Jelena will share her experiences and insights on recovering from compassion fatigue and rediscovering compassion satisfaction. She will discuss strategies like reconnecting with one's motivation for helping, fostering supportive relationships, and engaging in activities that renew purpose and joy. These practices help individuals regain resilience and continue providing effective care.
