#175 – Apologetics in a post-truth world 🗓
With Dr Ben Chang
The last few decades have seen the influence of postmodernism sweep the Western World. Today, evidence and reason are trumped by personal convictions and people’s “lived experience”. Fake news stories consistently travel faster and wider than true news stories online. And traditional authority figures are often viewed with automatic suspicion. How can Christians engage with apologetics and defending our faith, when our post-truth culture no longer submits to the authority of reason and evidence? Do we now need a new kind of “postmodern apologetics”?
