#241 The theology of addiction 🗓
With Dr Trevor Stammers
Addiction is not a word that is used in scripture. So does the Bible have anything to say about it? In this seminar we will consider some of the contemporary understandings of addictive behaviours and their management in medical and psychological practice. We will also explore some scriptural themes - some obvious and some less so - to see how they might provide a Christian understanding of addiction and how this might help us all to be free from its grip and the harms it inflicts.
