Lydia Pratanu

Dr. Lydia Pratanu is a clinical cytogeneticist and a leading figure in genetic and genomic medicine in Indonesia. She currently serves as Head of the Cytogenetic and Molecular Genetic Laboratory at Harapan Kita Women and Children Hospital, where she played a pioneering role in establishing cytogenetic services and contributing to the Birth Defect Integrated Center (BIDIC). Her academic training includes an MD and Master’s degree in Biomedical Science from Airlangga University, postdoctoral training in Medical Genetics at the University of British Columbia, and a PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of Indonesia. 

Dr. Lydia has been deeply involved in the Christian Medical and Dental Fellowship of Indonesia (CMDFI) since its inception, contributing as a leader, speaker, and mentor. She has participated in multiple ICMDA World Congresses and played a key role in integrating global missional perspectives into CMDFI’s work. She is also a co-founder of the Medical Mission Camp, equipping young doctors for mission-focused service.
