CONVOY OF HOPE

Medical Aid for Ukraine

ICMDA has launched a joint initiative with Mighty Convoy to deliver a vital Transport Project to our member body the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine (CMA).

Together we are raising funds for the following shared objectives:

  • Securing freight services to transport the hundreds of tonnes of donated medical aid we continue to receive
  • Purchasing ambulances and emergency evacuation vehicles to be distributed to medical units in Ukraine

ICMDA is resourcing Christian doctors and dentists throughout Ukraine through our member body the CMA to care for the wounded, displaced and homeless, serve in frontline health facilities and act as a portal to provide drugs, consumables and equipment to hospitals and health centres. Since the start of the war, we have sent over 150 truck and lorry loads of medical supplies to Ukraine.

Mighty Convoy is a non-profit, run entirely by volunteers, buying second-hand ambulances and other emergency vehicles, filling them with aid and driving them to Ukraine. Thus far, they have sent 32 vehicles to Ukraine including 25 ambulances and five pickup trucks containing 25 tons of medical supplies, much of which has been supplied by ICMDA.

We believe that by working together in partnership on this project we can do much more than this for the people of Ukraine.

Our initial target is to raise £140,000

£70,000 for 20 lorry transports and £70,000 for ten ambulances and other emergency vehicles.
