Kristina Alikhanyan
Regional Representative for the Caucasus sub-region of Eurasia
Kristina was born in Armenia and got her MD degree in 2001. She did her PhD in Pharmacy and worked as an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at Yerevan State Medical University for 15 years. In 2015 she moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue postdoctoral training in neuro-oncology at Emory Medical School. Since 2016 Kristina has been working as a scientist at Cancer Research Center of Germany, Heidelberg.
Kristina helped to pioneer the Armenian Christian Medical Association – ACMA NGO where she served as CEO for 8 years. Since 2013 Kristina and her husband Hanri, who is a dentist, have been involved with ICMDA, aiming to help Christian doctors in Turkey, Georgia and Iran to form their own national Christian medical movements.
