#43 Sacred Secular dichotomies and healthcare mission

With Dr Vinod Shah

A set of three sacred/secular dichotomies are being presented that have caused schism in our understanding of life and mission including medical mission. These are:

  • The Heaven and Earth dichotomy
    (the primary dichotomy)
  • Body and Soul dichotomy
  • Sacred and Secular work dichotomy

These in turn have caused many other dichotomies such as evangelism/social action dichotomy, love/sex dichotomy, and ministry/family/work dissociation.

Integration of these dichotomies can make us more motivated and authentic and help Christians gain more control over the seven cultural mountains.
