#97 Addressing mental health needs in refugees

With Dr Bert Nanninga

We have seen the number of forcefully displaced peoples around the world increasing by the year this century. The recent images of refugees in the Ukraine war are heartbreaking and are alerting the world that evil is a painful reality in our so called global village.

As Christians we are supposed to act as good neighbours to those in need and accommodate strangers, providing for a safe place and proper care, as disciples of the Good Samaritan.

In such acute changes and losses too often personal resilience and coping mechanisms fail to overcome the overwhelming traumatic stress, whether on short term or in the times to come. In this Webinar the pain of forced migration and efficient approaches will be highlighted.
