My name is Yun Hwan (Joseph) Kim, 68 years old, Interventional radiologist, working at the Presbyterian Medical Center (Jesus Hospital), Jeonju, Korea, after retiring from my university, three years ago.

I served as the president of the Seoul Christian Medical & Dental Association from 2014 to 2016, served as the organizing chair of the ICMDA EA 2019 SEOUL KOREA held in August 2019 and also as the vice president of the Korean Christian Medical & Dental Association (KCMDA); and in 2020 I became the president of KCMDA. Currently, as a member of the Golden Wheat Grain Lecture Preparation Committee of KCMDA, I have been learning about the 130 years of medical missionary work in Korea with my colleagues every month.

Learning from the history of medical missionary work, KCMDA has three goals on how to do medical missionary work in the future. First, the evangelization of the Korean medical community, then providing holistic treatment to patients, and finally, the goal of maturing the faith of our Christian doctors. So, for the past six years my colleagues and I have met continuously, every Saturday morning, to pray for the accomplishment of these goals.
