#237 Lessons from the early UK Christian Medical Movement 🗓
With Dr Mark Pickering
The founding General Secretary of CMF UK, Dr Douglas Johnson, said ‘it is inexcusable for a Christian to neglect history’. The Bible itself is essentially an historical narrative, recorded so that we, many years later, can ‘learn the lessons of history’ – to be encouraged by the examples (and frailties) of those who went before us, and perhaps to avoid some of their mistakes.
What can we learn from those UK Christian doctors, nurses and students who changed history in the 19th and early 20th Century?
