Elmer Thiessen

North America board member

Elmer Thiessen worked as a dentist at his general practice in Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada and is now retired after 47-years service. He has served as a lead elder in his local church and as a publicly elected school trustee. He is the chair of the Camp Likely leadership team and is involved in Restorative Justice and a community men’s choir and enjoys cycling. He first became involved with CMDA Canada as a dental student, has served on the national board of directors and has been on the ICMDA board since 2010.  He is married to Shirley and they have six children and 19 grandchildren.
