ADVOCACY

What is advocacy?

To advocate for another is to speak up on their behalf, to give them a voice and represent their interests. In particular, Christian advocacy is an attempt to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God. (Micah 6:8)

Proverbs 31:8-9 encourages us: Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.

There are many areas in public life, particularly in regards to healthcare and medicine, where a louder voice is needed for those who are vulnerable or neglected, from the very beginning of life to its natural end. The resources and links listed here aim to help Christian healthcare workers speak up for the voiceless and to give them confidence to practice medicine according to their conscience, with the highest regard for every person made in the image of God.

SO GOD CREATED MANKIND IN HIS OWN IMAGE,
IN THE IMAGE OF GOD HE CREATED THEM;
MALE AND FEMALE HE CREATED THEM.

Genesis 1:27
